At Colbún, we understand it is fundamental to establish dialogue with our neighboring communities in order to develop a healthy relationship at a territorial level. This dialogue is aimed at informing the actions carried out by the Company and receiving the issues, concerns and vision of the surrounding communities.
San Pedro-Colbún Social Work Table
Instance promoted in 2020 together with the San Pedro Neighborhood Board Association (Quillota, Valparaíso Region), with the aim of having a formal and periodic space for work and relationship between the community of San Pedro and the company Colbún, to through its Nehuenco Complex.
Since 2022, the Roundtable has expanded to include the participation of various social and community.
Public Accounts and Community Dialogues
This program was created in 2014 with the first public account at the Santa María power plant in Coronel.
Through the years, it was extended to cover all power plants, and was reformulated in 2018 to enhance methodologies that would allow greater participation of the community and their local leaders.

Angostura Tourist Work Table
This table was established in 2012 to define the guidelines for the tourist development of the Angostura and Angostura del Biobío Park (see www.angosturadelbiobio.cl).
It is made up of representatives from the municipalities of Santa Bárbara and Quilaco, Sernatur (Chilean National Tourism Service), the local Chamber of Commerce, neighbors associations and Colbún.
Chapo Lake Tourist Work Table
Set up in 2018 by Chapo Lake neighbors (Los Lagos Region); this table seeks to promote sustainable tourist development and strengthen the sector’s economy.
It is integrated by the Chapo Lake and Blanco River Neighbors Association; the Municipality of Puerto Montt; the Regional Secretary of the Energy Ministry; Sernatur (Chilean National Tourism Service); Conaf (National Forest Service); the Puerto Varas Port Authority, the Puerto Montt Chamber of Commerce and Colbún.
Coronel SouthWork Table
It started operating in 2010 and is integrated by 13 neighbors’ associations in Coronel.
This Work Table promotes different association initiatives, such as contestable and social development funds to finance community infrastructure, entrepreneurial and sports projects.
